A medical career?

I'm 27 and was wondering how you go about training for a medical career - either nursing or a paramedic. I already have an NVQ 3 in Care and Education and was wondering if could act as some sort of access course. I used to be a nursery nurse but left as I started to not agree with certain aspects of the job. I'm now in an office, and not very fulfilled. Is it too late to start something new? I also can't afford to give up work.

Your NVQ might help you get an interview for entry into one of the careers you mention but is unlikely to be regarded as an access qualification.

Your NVQ could be used. if you enroll for a nursing degree you will not have to study for as long.

you could also qualify for a payment while you study.
