treadmills are they any good

hi all

i have just bought one and think its great and does auto incline..my question is tho.. i am trying to go on it for 30mins every night, i do it on a set programe which takes you into a fast walk on an incline then the last 6mins into a jog...... How long will it take for me to get toned up this way and also will it tone up other wobbly bits like back and hips lol

I don`t think it will tone you up but it will help your cardio-vascular fitness and you might lose weight.

oh right ... well it will get me fit if nothing else then lol.....
Well, it getting you fit is the best part of it because it`s helping your heart and lungs. It might tone your legs though..
It will exercise your legs plus heart and lungs. for purely aerobic (heart and lungs) use a heart monitor and go for a pulse rate of about 180 minus your age, usually a quick walk. Don't forget to eat and drink properly after exercise to aid recovery.
