Moral dilemma

I've been on standby since 7am and i'm now bored. I want something to happen but at the same time, me being busy means people are sick or hurt.

So is it wrong to want some work?

I know what you mean, you're trained to do a job and dont want to be sat around doing nothing.
Mr CRX is same, gets a bit fed up when alerters are quiet.

I was the same in ITu... its the adrenaline rush from maanging a really sick patient...and the teamwork miss it sometimes
I was never bored and at the same time never looked for work, as it would always come when working in Casualty in the middle of football or rugby on TV.
