A friend from the country came to visit recently.
When she went I found she had left two small items of clothing that she had bought, behind.
She rang me on reaching home and asked me to post them to her.
I did this.
The (large) jiffy bag was £3.60
the postage £2.60
total £6.20.
To date(three weeks after),and she has received tem, she has made no effort to reimburse me.
This may sound mean, but I live on a state pension/pension credit and nothing else,so £6.20 means a lot to me.
What would you do under these circumstances.
Thank You.
actually I think I would ask for the money again,if she is a true friend she will not mind paying as you were good enough to send them so quickly,if not then you can write it off and forget her
If you intend to cross her off your Christmas list anyway-I think you should tell her just how you feel. Point out that what you paid was a lot (for you)-and even an OFFER of reimbursement would have been appreciated. She does not sound like a real friend.
If they were 'small' items of clothing .. she must wear VERY big pants : )
Why didn't you wrap in a plastic carrier or something else like paper? I have never paid £3 odd for a bag!
