they are part of a trilogy, Dragon Tattoo is the first
Question Author
have you read them?any good and what is the third one called?
3rd is The girl who kicked the hornets nest.

I found the first one quite good but it seems to be caught between types of style it starts of as a narrative mystery and end ups as a sort of confused...nope cant say I just realised it might be a spoiler.

I can see why its acclaimed though
Question Author
i'm gonna start reading it tonight when i'm in bed(it's the only place i enjoy reading)
ive not read them i have to admit, but i will at some point,
I have seen the film of Dragon tattoo and its a good thriller.
it's the millenium trilogy, very good, book 2, played with fire, gets bogged down abit but is still good, you'll enjoy the characters
Question Author
c'mon dotty,tell me about books
when you say 'heard' were you eavesdropping my selling skills at work? lol I've sold dozens of them and more since i read it myself!
Question Author
so would you recommend them and have you read the three?
Question Author
thank you
i would definately recommend them, it's fun pretending to say the swedish names in yout head too lol i also think it says alot about how unbothered about time swedish people seem to be.
Hi slinky I've just finished reading the first two books The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and The Girl who played with Fire, and I'm about to start the last book The Girl who kicked the Hornets nest which will finish the trilogy. You'll have to read them in order. but they are pretty good. As dotty says it's fun trying to say the Swedish names, Like walking around Ikea in fact.
who is the author ?
Ann the author was Stieg Larsson. He died suddenly in 2004 (I think he was 50 years old) shortly after delivering the manuscripts of the books to his publisher. He didn't live to see how successful his books were.
