It is a rare chance to get the family together for one day, and for that I am grateful. I never go OTT, a few decs and couple of presents etc.. but have to admit that I like Christmas time, I just do!
Don't really bother with it; but we do have a really lovely lunch ;- D
Just the same as any other day really.
How many of those who supposedly celebrate christmas actually do celebrate CHRISTmas? My guess is that the majority really celebrate St Nicholas's Day. IE, good excuse to overindulge and overspend.
I only bother a little. Don't do cards and certainly don't go overboard with the spending. Bit of extra food and booze and, of course, I have concerts to take part in.
I buy presents only for immediate family and we always have a nice dinner, especially if our son comes to visit, but other than that I don't bother too much.
I guess if I still had little ones around then I'd do a little more, but I don't, so I won't.
Interesting post, maggot. I'm an atheist, so don't actually celebrate CHRISTmas as such - that's just a label for a time of year when I can kick back a little, appreciate a little niceness in this miserable world and look forward to brighter times ahead.
I celebrate St Nicholas' day separately every year because that's my birthday. <:-D
