I called DVLA this morning to find out if they were going to get my provisional licence back to me before Friday (driving test day) as i sent it off 6 weeks ago for address to be changed and they said they have put it in the post which means i will be able to take my test on friday (permitting it doesn't snow too much) so I am very happy but now that its been confirmed that i will be able to take my test i am so nervous. Arghhh, mixed feelings!
Can you still take driving tests in the snow ?
Thinking of emergency stop ....
And seeing the kerb when you do the reverse turn.
Don't forget to not start the reverse turn , if another vehicle is approaching the junction your reversing around. I carried on reversing and failed my first test.
If by any mischance you do not pass, don't be downhearted. It happens to the best of us; I had to have three goes before I passed, and I was 33 at the time with two degrees under my belt. Just rebook immediately, but hopefully it won't come to that.
Good luck Benny, take a deep breath and take it steady. Drive as the weather conditions allow.
At this time of the year there may be some cancellations, if the Senior Driving Instructors consider that the weather conditions are too bad for the test routes. If so your test will be re-booked.
I failed my first test , took another a month later by which time I was so very pregnant I could hardly get behind the wheel of my Mini. The examiner was more nervous than I was , and at the end when he said that I had passed ,he couldn't get out of the car fast enough.
Goiod luck with your test.
