Chocolate Fondant
5 Answers
I've been looking for a simple recipe for chocolate fondants. I have found a Gordon Ramsey one on the BBC website (I think he just calls it melt in middle choc pud) but the recipe is to serve 9! I'm not clever enough to work out how to change the qty's for a 4 person serving. Does anyone have any easy to follow recipes for a choc fondant? I made a choc souffle a while back for the first time and it came out perfectly but I was disappointed as I got souffle and fondant mixed confused and didn't have the melty middle bit.

(You don't need to adjust the cooking time because the recipe uses separate pudding moulds, so the instructions will be exactly the same irrespective of the number of items made):

However, if your arithmetic really doesn't stretch to dividing by two, here's a recipe for 4 servings:

* 200g dark chocolate, chopped
Method:
Grease and line a 21x11cm loaf pan extending paper on long sides to create handles.
Place the condensed milk, brown sugar and butter in a medium saucepan. Cook and stir over a low heat for 3-4 minutes until butter has melted, sugar has dissolved and it is well combined.
Add the chopped dark chocolate and cook and stir for a further 3-4 minutes until chocolate has melted and mixture is smooth. Pour fudge mix into prepared pan.
