Thankyou so much Lisa. Took a test again this morning.....and just now the Nitrite is down to normal now.! Also Sam took some pea tonight..so lets hope it that works also. He is still resting more on the bottom than swimming and his sides are swollen so just hope the pea works. Poor little thing he was so hungry. But it will be worth it.

Hey hun.....pleased to hear the water quality is back!
I can't really think of anything else it could be to make him swell aside from constipation but will have a think! Is he showing any other symptoms aside from that and not being as lively? Any colour change, flicking or rubbing and how are his fins looking? Are you sure he's not be bullied by any of the other fish in the tank?
Hopefully the pea will do the trick though....you have to be cruel to be kind....lol

Hi again Divagirl , well have given him some pea for two nights now and his sides are still swollen. Don't think he is being bullied by the other fish.But he is not as happy as he used to be. Hides away in his house.
