heating in a workplace

if you work in an office environment is there a temperature which by law you are not allowed to work if it goes under this
just curious as where my mum works the section she works in, is the only place where there is no heating and she says its freezing.

13 degrees minimum if you are in a workplace where physical effort is necessary.
16 degrees minimium if its sedentary.
I'd rather be too cold than too hot as well but theres cold and then theres bitterly cold and theres a huge difference.
I couldnt work where pix works -Ive told her that but I know I couldnt endure the heat she does during the summer.....

When we moved into our current offices in an old listed building, someone had nicked my radiator off the wall - it's still missing. Fortunately I don't mind the cold usually but I have had to steal other people's heaters this week, so as not to freeze.
In the old days, it had to be 60.8 degrees F after 2 hours, otherwise you could go home.
