Since last Wednesday. No gritters, No post, No binmen. Local shops are a mile away. Car stuck in garage. ( Even if I could get it out the roads are impassable) Starting to run low on supplies but not desperate yet. I am just really p!ssed off with this weather. Please can we have some heavy rain NOW.

Feel for you micmak.Each peson should be treated on their circumstances not where they live.its not a bleeding competition.
Have to say I would and have in the past walked an 8mile round trip once to get groceries but I had young family and I had to -left them at G & Gs but that was mentally worse than now plus my heating ran off the fire so we had to put the fire out as the boiler would have blown up.We got there but we were 2wks before we could even try moving.So have a trudge to the shops as they are running out where I am -dont know why like but they are lol

Trucks can't get through to the shops, that's the problem - we rely so much on road transport to bring in everything we use. Dover was gridlocked this afternoon with artics to and from the docks, blocked solid, very unusual to have queues trying to leave the town rather than get in. Until the trucks get through, it's a problem!
It's been -21 in the highlands and they're forecasting -25 for tomorrow.
