Just interested... David Cameron said the whole country was hanging on the decision, backing the bid. Were you? I wasn't - neither here nor there to me - the Olympics are costing us enoughin 2012. <<ducks to avoid footie flak>> but I'm sure I'm not alone.

I couldn`t care less whether England got it or not.
Not only was I not hanging on the decision, but until the FH mentioned it this afternoon it had completely passed me by.
P.M ought to have better stuff to do. Pointless waste of time. Wouldn't happen in Rugby
Nope, not at all interested.
The money generated through the olympics will be collossal for this country.World cup would have done the same.Russia thats a different story because mafiosa will want their slice.Qatar Blatter and co have already had their slice, why anyone wants to play in 100 degree heat is beyond me.
No, I didn't want it, for reasons I've explained in a few recent threads.

But ... I know that lots of people DID want it, and I do feel sorry for them.

England are bidding against Australia to host the World Netball Championships in 2015. If we lose that one, then I WILL be disappointed.
Not me.

More people were interested in England's World Cup bid and the bid got more coverage than when England won the rugby world cup, about sums the two sports up...
Completely passed me by but I'm glad we didn't get it, think we're going to have enough strain on transport etc when the olympics comes to town (something else I didn't want).

I would however like the rugby to come here. Whenever it wants. Rugby is very important to this girls 'feel good' factor.
not bothered to be honest
I'm not bothered but it would have been good for all the avid footie fans, a once in a lifetime chance probably. The Euro thingy we hosted a few years ago went very well.
