sounds like you are doing a fabulous job xxxx
remember she wont remember in years to come the gifts she had but the love she felt xx
sounds like more than enough for a 2 year old. And also at 2 a party isnt really required. Just a little birthday tea with family would do. She isnt at an age where she knows whats really going on yet. :)
Think that is over the top for a 2 year old , but can fully understand why. So have a great time on both days and save a cup of tea for me .
Hi Carlie, it's tricky when birthdays are so close to Xmas, isn't it? Don't feel guilty, it sounds like you have got her an awful lot and I am sure she'll be thrilled :) I agree about the party, there's no need to throw a whopping great party for a 2 year old, just having a couple of playmates over and some family or something is enough to keep a little one happy, doesn't have to be fancy and expensive! I agree with zzxxee, it's not so much the presents, but the way you make her feel special and loved.
That's loads more than my two year old got for her birthday, and for xmas she is having a dolls house which came with furniture and the dolls and 5 things for her stocking. Kids are so easily pleased at this age, don't waste your cash on material posessions, what zzxxee said is spot on!

As for birthday parties...we've been to quite a few this year and I think the best ones were the smaller ones - we had a picnic in the park, it was v.cheap because we asked everyone to bring something, I know it's not the time of year but a small tea party at home with a couple of friends would be great. The parties we went to where there were 20 + 'friends' were expensive, overwhelming for the little ones and stressful for the parents.
Sounds like you are doing an outstanding job- the fact that you are really thinking about it is the key thing here- that means that you are doing your absolute best as a parent and as such your little un is a very lucky little person indeed- at 2 years old everything you've bought is more than enough and she has you to love and play with her so she's in clover.
She is very lucky little girl!
My two girls won't get that much! :) I always think that a few presents do the best - as the chilren can really enjoy it! If there is plenty of them - they just opening one by one and leave them behind - just to see what is inside the next one, if you know what I mean.
So don't worry. You did a lot!
Enjoy it!
i agree with redcrx a small bithday tea is plenty for a 2 year old and zzxxee is completely right your daughter will not remember it as we only remember things from
when we are about 3. have a good one next year and record it so she will always have something for you both to remember and the party next year can be combined as a christmas party as well.when my daughter was small i used to give her a couple of presents on my birthday so there was something to have midyear but when my son
came along they both had a couple of presents on each others birthday instead of mine.
