AB Editor There are 4 Editors who deal with reports and have the ability to ban people, make threads sticky etc.

There are several moderators - these are users on the site. They can suspend other users, but they cannot ban them. They cannot see reports.

that is the problem pasta, if you enlist a moderator that rarely inhabits chatterbank they have no idea of the behaviour history of the users, like tonyted who I think should get another chance on here if he keeps his nose clean because his past record suggests he is not a prolific troublemaker.

I agree cazzzz re tony....I looked back on the supposedly offending thread....and saw nothing to warrant a complete suspension. At that rate,we must all be afraid-very afraid...lol

I understood - but I could be wrong - that if a suspended user has a discussion with the Ed and understands whatever rule they infringed, then they can be reinstated (and we've seen this happen). I don't think there is a "complete suspension" - the Ed can ban people, but if that's the case then you would no longer be able to search for them and find past threads. I'd understood that suspensions can be lifted if Ed agrees.
