it was banded about in an earlier thread that this could be Lemon rind chilli, but no-one can prove that such a thing exists!

I've just run it through my anagram checker which gives words, expressions, films, plants, actors, place names etc. as one word anagrams and it came up with nothing. Something wrong somewhere.

Thank you all for your interest, time and help.  I have double checked the letters which are OK so am still struggling.  Have e-mailed the competition setters to see if they really do mean ONE word!

What is the actual clue to this anagram?

The letters come from shaded squares of a completed crossword and there is no subject clue - it just says "discover the word made up from the letters in the shaded squares"
