Cats scoot !!!

I thought only dogs did this, earlier I caught my cat dragging her bum across the place she was sleeping. "..like ewww !" (as they say in America)

I've just found a few YT clips of cats scooting.

dogs scoot for a reason, ususally anal glands or worms....suggest that you sort out why your cat is doing this!

My sometimes gross moggy does this. He is semi-long haired.....and the longest seems to be on his bum. .......and-well..'things' get stuck there........so-the bum gets dragged across beige carpet. Usually over night-so it's there to greet me in the morning.
I recently had to dunk the offending bum in the bathtub-then clip it....he's much nicer now ;-))

plus you run the risk of them catching flu they will clean themselves

Caspar didn't lash out when his bum was dunked....but he's a bit stupid anyway.....

AP did your cat ever do this again? I saw No1 son doing this in the snow last week, never seen him do it before. Seems to be a bum-cleaning thing but it was new to me!
