Christmas Tree nightmare

The Christmas tree has been bought so we have to put it up tomorrow (unless someone nicks it from outside tonight) so we have to put it up tomorrow - can already feel the stress levels rising. The decorations are in the garage (we moved in August) so they could be anywhere and I know, from past experience, that my husband will get stroppy about it. The kids will be wound up and the girl twin (who's two) will be wild. Luckily I have booked to go out for lunch to minimise the hassle!

Cross your fingers and hope that someone nicks your tree overnight. Then simply head to any big supermarket, or DIY store, tomorrow to purchase a 'pre-lit' tree.

I'll be keeping out of the way - the husband likes it done a certain way (which is stupid as all the stuff will be off it in about 5 minutes). The youngest girl is wild about everything and I have seen her with tinsel lately, she's like a kitten with a ball of wool. I'll iron the school uniforms and leave him to it!

It is just me and the kitties at Christmas - no point in putting decorations up. I may vacuum the living room - and I may not!

Good idea sher, when mine were small I used to just let them do their worst!.........Nothing breakable!........I just let them dress the tree there way, and change it whenever they felt like it!.......................No stress!...........lol...............

The youngest will be the funniest - the boy will be really picky about things (he is going to be such a jobsworth) and the girl will be running aways with things or throwing baubles (I shall supervise from a safe distance).

Hi Welsh - in our garage there is only space to open the fridge freezer (just) and the tumble drier, there is a LOT of stuff in there (I have a chest freezer in there that I haven't been into since we moved here as there is so much in there).

LOL wolfy, your Christmas sounds like ours, I have been debating hoovering the cat fluff off the rugs for several days now. I left it on while it was snowing, it was another layer of insulation!

Me and the boy put ours up last night... remarkably stress free, especially when discovering some of the choclate decorations were 'damaged' and had to be eaten straight away... (Amazing, seeing as I'm a right old 'Humbug' normally!! Must be mellowing with old age)

Don't get me wrong - I love Christmas. Just know how the tree thing is going to go from past experience!! (PS Mollykins - for some reason you have really irritated me with your comment but in the spirit of the season I shall let it go!).
