for as long as i can remember i have entered quizes and never won so much as a bean .
Have any of you ever won a signiicant prize from a magazine or the telly from a competition ?

I entered a couple of them during the summer but haven't bothered since or just plain forgot about it. I seem to have Cbeebies on permanetly these days anyway so don't really see This Morning.

That reminds me, ttfn, a hundred years ago in Birmingham I entered our then cats in the local cat show. One of mine won "Friendliest Cat in the Show" - I've still got the rosette.

£90 from 4 numbers in the lottery, a piano accordion and lessons from a painting comp., A weekend break in Ludlow, a ticket to the Archers 50 year celebration, a Christmas hamper, a hot-tray for keeping food warm, a year's worth of cereal, several books, a PG tips monkey (!) and a cabbage patch doll. £1000 from Premium Bonds. Seems a lot but they were spread over about 40 years.

I do the lottery every week and have never won more than a tenner inyears. I did win 3 CCs from 2 cats when I used to dabble in showing years back.

won 10 shillings doing the sunday post crossword in 1969 once, thats about it. but was over the moon at the time, as this was a fortune then to a 10 year old

i have a friend that started entering competitions when he gave up smoking to keep his mind off cigarettes. He has won numerous things: holiday in paris travelling by concorde, renault spider racing car (which has no roof and he didnt have a garage lol), various other holidays, a 'years supply' of numerous things, lennox lewis' boxing gloves, and too many smaller things to list. But i must add he does enter a lot.

10 years ago i dropped and broke my camera in Tenerife,was tempted to buy another out there but decided to wait untill I got home.A letter was waiting for my wife from CHAT magazine telling her she had won a camera valued at £100.No such luck since.

I won ten pounds on the lottery yesterday. Still it paid for the tickets, with six pounds change.
