...I've had 2 charity bags and a card from the church. There is currently an argument and a lot of confusion here in Derby as to whether its the postmen who won't come out onto snow and ice or the bosses at RM who won't let them. Is it the same where you live?
we have not had much post in birmingham and Im not sure if the binmen are working this week due to strike action or something! I had better look into it, they are supposed to be collecting rubbish here tomorrow
It's not that bad here either. I'm just outside the city - not up in the Peaks. No collections from many boxes either. I'm not that bothered as I'm not awaiting anything but curious as to what's happening generally and who decides.
No worries here about binmen cazzz. Here on the dot the last 2 times. But if you forget you can't chase them ala Armstrong and Miller cos they won't do reversing!
Hi rabbity, I live about 3 miles south of Derby. I was just typing you a reply, I heard the letterbox & it was the postie! :o) Which side of Derby are you on?
Our milkman's been managing ok ...anyone fancy a two pint milk jubbly? ...lol
Just heard radio Derby say they're hoping to catch up with the post from today so maybe you'll have some soon...I'm not far from the castle....well actually I'm not far from a radiator at the moment ;o)
None of our buses are running by the good old postie still gets through - bless him! He's a proper old-school, pass the time of day, look out for your customers type - god knows there aren't many of those left!"
We have piles of snow, but we have had post all through - half of it is rubbish as well, the posties must hate coming round sticking marketing stuff and catalogues through peoples doors - what a waste of energy.
binmen were on time last week - not sure about this week as we have had another load of snow today - recycling was a few days late but that isn't surprising seeing the type of truck they have.
