Freddie Trueman ( the Yorkshire cricketer ) was a regular visitor to our house when I was young. He was a big mate of my Dad.

Bought William Hartnell [first Dr Who ] a pint in a Sussex pub and was walking in Stratford upon Avon years ago when a tea shop door opened, Jack Palance[City Slickers, Batman, etc] stepped out and we collided.He was most apologetic and extremely friendly.
