Fleas..........is anyone else having trouble getting rid of them.?

I have frontlined my dog but there are still fleas on him.! Is there some natural flea killer around that may work better, have hard about lavender oil but not sure.

Keep with regular frontline, wash his bedding, hoover where he goes - then if any of the little beggars have hopped off, waiting to hop back, you'll get 'em.
It seems bad this year from the number of AB posts about fleas in the last few days.

Alf was still prone to infestations, even after being frontlined. Try mixing some citronella with a carrier oil and dabbing on him, say, 3 times a week, in addition to frontlining.

Flea eggs might be in the dog's bedding or even on the carpets. Get going with the vacuum cleaner too.

you need to treat the house and car as well as the dog, also put a squirt of whatever you use to treat the house in the vacuum cleaner bag or cannister. i reckon RIP fleas is still the best. I live in hampshire, something else might be the best elsewhere in the UK. When we could use frontline we used the spray not the drops which i think works better. One of our dogs is now sensitive to frontline so this year we used scalibor collars instead....very very please with them, no allergic reaction and no fleas, no ticks AT ALL which is a first while we have been living here.

Have changed bedding, vacumed throughly but still they are there. will try anything ti get rid of the blighters.!

I don't know of any natural flea killer but you can get a carpet spray from the vets. Its a bit pricey but if you spray the carpets in all rooms it will last a whole year.

Those scalibor collars are fabulous and recommended by all the Spanish vets too.
If you do use them, be careful not to get them wet.

Citronella is fabulous as it repel everything, including moths and things that like to come into the house at night time.

NM the ones I have say that after a week, dogs can swim in them or be bathed. They are like a big long length of elastic with a buckle on

CSJ do a natural flea repellant. Have you de flead the carpet as vacuuming alone wont kill them?

They do say that by the time you see fleas,they are probably all over the house,i think the best thing is to get a bomb-i bought one @Amazon about £17,and it comes with a mask.The best solution,i'm afraid,is not to get them in the first place! I use Frontline every month,all year round.

Once they are in the house then it doesn't matter how many times you treat the dog, they will still re-infest him when he's 'treatment wears off, spraying the house is the only remedy (but make sure you read the instructions and mask up) Good Luck with it anyway, Fleas are horrible wee buggers!

Try garlic tablets...you can get them from health food shops. The flees dont like it and its good for the dogs heart too :-)
