When I download my pictures from my digital camera the jpegs are huge in size(400-500k each). What I want to know is there a way to resize a batch of photographs. I have paintshop 7 but at the moment I have to individually resize my photos. The reason i ask is that im off to iraq soon with the army and Im sure Ill have a number of photos when I get back. can anyone help

I take it that u r using PaintShop Pro 7 and that u have a laptop to download them to. Not sure if psp7 has batch resizing...BUT How about buying more removable memory in the form of compact flash cards or usb mini hardrives(they are as small as a keychain thingy)....or download the files to a folder and then zip (compress) the folder...or get some online space and download them from ur camera and upload them to ur space. If u got a cdr/rw download them onto one of those...if u use zip as well u will get gazillions on it...Good luck and take care!

The thing is that the pictures are huge so to when you view them you cant get see the whole picture on the screen.
Ok....I googled and found more than a few add ons (programs) that will batch resize and do lots of other things too....they all run about 30usdollars....but I am sure u can resize batches in psp....even if it means going to the folder open it then going to edit and selecting all...and then going to file on the tool bar and look down the list of options till u get to set eviroment (F) its right at the bottom this will allow u to set sizes for the thumbnails etc so maybe that might work. On the other hand PSP 8 has definitely got batch resizing.
Not used PSP, but isn't there some way you can set a preference for opening pictures, so that you can see the whole picture? (Assuming this is the only problem you need solved). Is the problem that you want to see the whole photo on opening for editing, or that you just want to view the photos? If the latter, I've never had problems with large images and Windows Picture and Fax viewer.
Suggest you download a small free program called IrfanView (and the plugins) from http://www.irfanview.com/
You can easily view images at any size, and it has various option for batch conversion, including re-sizing.

Note that if you make your images smaller and you wish to print any out later on, you will lose quality.
nice piece of free software Wildwood...have downloaded it and look forward to using it later. Thanks for the link.
