Cadbury's chocolate. I bought a box of Milk Tray for Mrs mm. The chocolate on them tastes like cheap bars you get in the pound shop. On top of that there was no coffee cream. What a waste of money.
Absolutely hate coffee creams, I don't like our (UK) chocolate at all even Thorntons. it seems tasteless and looks plastic, I bought some Cherry Liqueurs from Lidl that were very nice though, and some fruit and nut chocolate, in fact I went back and got a few boxes for stocking fillers.
Personally, if anyone is the least bit interested, I like all soft centres but hate nuts and hard centres - if it's soft toffee yes, but if it's hard I leave it for someone else.
Does anywhere still do Pic'n'Mix where they have loose Roses chocs so you can pick out your favourites?
I used to come away with a bagful of orange creams
I make my own coffee truffles :12oz white choc. 1oz ground almonds 1oz unsalted butter, 3 egg yolks 2 tabs double cream 1 tab instant coffee made up with as little water as possible (or CAMP coffee. Melt the choc and butter gently until both melted. Add double cream and egg yolks after it has cooled slightly. Mix in the coffee a little at a time until the desired strength of flavour is achieved. Put to chill in the fridge. Roll walnut size piece of the chilled mixture in soft brown sugar. These are awesome and so much nicer than coffee creams. You can add any flavour you want to the basic mixture. I have added brandy and rolled the mixture in caster sugar. also nice rolled in dessicated coconut or grated white chocolate. Salivating as we speak LOL
