Someone knocked into me in the snow last winter and the impact smashed my front registration plate. I went to Halfords who made and fitted a new plate for me. Today someone told me that my plate isn't legal because it only has the registration number and it should have some sort of marking at the bottom to say where it was made/where the car came from, as the original plate on the rear of the car does.
It's a small village Naz. I can't take the risk of damaging my fine reputation. Besides the slipper and dressing gown look I'm rocking at the moment isn't one most people would want to see.
i have known MOT failures due to no postcode..also plates are traceable anyway, each batch of 25 blanks has a unique serial number on the back which is logged by the supplier as to which dealer that batch was sold to then by law the dealer has to keep records etc.
