Hi,
You don't mention what format the camcorder tape is (Hi8 VHS or DVcam) but the easiest way is to copy straight from your camcorder to a stand alone dvd recorder.
The Dazzle product mentioned is for copying analogue (VHS and Hi8) tapes onto your computer. It comes bundled with editing software so you can manipulate the sound and pictures on your pc before committing to DVD.
If your tape / camcorder is dvcam then all you need is a firewire ieee1394 card on your computer and this will capture the sound and pics for you. These can also be bought very cheaply from a computer supplier such as this, cost 7 to 12

Be aware though that video files can take up a huge amount of space on your hard drive especially if you're using a two hour tape and editing can be a tedious process.
