How do I reduce pictures in size in order to attach them to emails. Thanks in advance

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.One way is to RIGHT click on the picture, then from the menu choose "Send To" then "Mail Recipient".
This then gives you an option to reduce the size of the picture (it works slightly differently in XP, Vista and W7 but the principle is the same).
Once you have chosen the size you want it then opens your email program.
This is fine if you use say Outlook Express as Windows can open it but it may be a problem if you use a web based email system like Google Mail.

The other way is to install some sort of image editing program (you may already have one on your PC) and use that resize the file.
There are loads of free image editing programs. I recently installed Paint.NET which is free and has a "resize" option.
