'Gas' is a vague term - what do you mean? Are you referring to the state of matter? An elemental noble gas? (in which case virtually bgger all will react with it to cause fire). A gaseous compound? An ideal gas? Gasoline? Town gas? Natural gas? Laughing gas? CS gas? Mustard gas? Or Jumping-Jack-Flash-it's-a-gas-gas gas?

For fire, you need three things:

Oxygen
Fuel
Heat

If you remove just one of these from the system, fire cannot occur.
