Could someone please put me out of my misery and tell me what the Scottish Isle that
rhymes with nautical mile, have exhausted all the avenues I can think of with no luck
and this is the last one left. Thanks in advance.

Also has anyone sent off for the Buxton Air Ambulance quiz, I did and had my cheque
returned in the envelope I had sent with no explanation whatsover.

Thanks for coming to the rescue, Bibblebub, thought I was going to get my bare bottom spanked for a moment. If the answer IS Fair Isle, which I suspect it may well be, then it is a pretty crap clue. Just what part of the clue is it supposed to rhyme with, or is it cryptic? You might as well ask, agricultural boy's name - rhymes with haemorrhoids.

if it is Fair Isle then it is a very poor clue so maybe there is much better answer waiting to be discovered

Re your query over Buxton Air Ambulance quiz, you are not referring to the Buxton Mountain Rescue quiz are you, as I am running that quiz and I haven't returned any cheques to anyone. I would be interested in your response as I haven't seen a quiz for Buxton Air Ambulance.

Thought someone might have ventured an answer to my 'cryptic' clue a few posts up. Still, I suppose early indulgence in minced pies has dulled the senses. Refused to buy any today, despite the tempting offer of 12 for the price of six. Too early, but I know I will live to regret it.
