I have 1 desktop computer that's connected to my hub by a 12 mtr ethernet cable for the internet and wanted to connect another computer in the same room to the internet and one another, the hub is in another room ( hence the long cable ) so I don't want to run another cable back to the hub as it's a big job, whats the best way to link the 2 computers, would it work if I got a ethernet adaptor and put it on my feed then run 2 ethernet cables to each computer or is there a better way ?

You put a Ethernet switch on the end of the 12M cable and then connect both computers to the extra ports on the switch.
