it is a bit weird - especially considering that unless itslike Kraftwork or something pretty much all popularmusic is of black "origin". So the Brit awards is kind of a mobo too.

Thanks for the link WaldoMcFroog. As a new subscriber to this site I missed this and it was not mentioned when I posted the question.
I have a varied taste in music from Pink Floyd, Quo, Bob Marley and so on. As you probably realise I am a "golden oldie" but I have never found the need to categorise my likes or dislikes of music into Black or White origin. Is it realy necessary? I
