Well I hope you had a back-up of your CV saved somewhere because I doubt you'll get it off that floppy. It's possible that the data on it was corrupted by a magnetic source of some kind. If you'd have formatted the disk, it would have erased all the data on it anyway. If your system cannot format the disk then it's most likely beyond repair.
Floppy disks are extremely outdated, highly fragile and equally as volatile. This is why their use has been outmoded by the likes of USB memory sticks which are not only up to hundreds of times faster and have equally as many times more storage space, but they're also far less prone to simply losing your data.
Hopefully you have a back-up, else you don't have anything. If you don't then bear it in mind in future to back up your data, especially if you plan to keep it on a floppy.
