Is anyone currently training as a midwife or has just qualified recently? Whats it like I am thinking about training. I'm 26 and worried about being a mature student

Your abiliy to care for women is dependant on your personality rather than age. The main things to consider as a mature student is any commitments/responsibilities you may already have, as midwifery courses are fulltime, demanding courses requiring both academic and practical assesments which include you working shifts(nights & weekends!) so financial and childcare issues should be considered carefully before you apply as you don't get paid for the courses. If you are serious about applying then very good luck, it's a wonderful profession (most of the time!).
