Thanks anneasquith - i have to say it is really hurting as the day wears on.

i am lucky i had a thick coat on, otherwise, judging by the size and depth of the wound, i'd have been looking at broken bones.

I rang the present Mrs Hughes to tell her, and hope for a little sympathy - needn't have bothered!

Ok... now we have proper snow, big fat flakes of the stuff is falling right now and although it only started a few minutes ago it has covered the road already.

It hasn't snowed here in Leeds yet, we've just got rid of the last lot. I'm watching the news on C5 and I can see it's snowing in London. It is very cold and icy here and snow is expected tomorrow. It seems to be just down in the south at the mo. My Gdaughter is having a fit, they are supposed to be coming up here from Bucks for their pressies but if it gets much worse they won't be making the journey. Hope nothing is broken andy apart from the brolly that is.
