Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

Have finished ok but have at least two with possibly two answers

80ac A group or set of eight - is it OCTAL or OCTAD I prefer the latter

99d German sausage - is it KNACKWURST or KNOCKWURST again I prefer the latter

I agree that 'octad' is the required noun. ('Octal' is an adjective).

Searching on the German version of Google (and restricting the search to German websites) shows that 'Knackwurst' is certainly correct in Germany but most online dictionaries seem to indicate that either spelling of the answer is acceptable in English-speaking countries.

It just ocurs to me that I do not like 105 ac either
A set of playing cards of the same denomination - 4 letters
I assume that the answer is SUIT

I instinctively thought 'suit' but then started wondering about whether 'denomination' referred to the the numerical value of cards, rather than to whether they're clubs, hearts, etc.

Looking up 'suit' in the Concise Oxford didn't help much but looking up 'denomination' showed that the word can not only refer to 'rank of playing-card within suit' but also 'of suit relative to others'.

So 'suit' appears to be correct (even though I think that the clue could have been better!)
