I use firefox and windows2000.

When I click on anything no matter what it is I get this message:

"The dynamic link library wininet. dll could not be found in the specified path" and then a great long reference number.

Any help with this would be much appreciated.

You may have a virus. If you can, download and run some programs to scan your computer (Adaware, Spybot Search and Destroy etc).

If you cannot, you may need to install a new version of wininit.dll.

From the message, make a note of the path where wininit.dll resides, and then search then web for another copy (make sure it is a windows 2000 version).

Download the file and replace the existing wininit.dll with the new one. Rename the old one wininit.old.

Yeah, follow everything vehelpfulguy says, then get your file from here. Good luck, and let us know if it works.
