Despite £554,000 being given to groups in Luton since 2008 – not a single name has been handed over.///

Apparently this money was given to combat extremism but they have failed to tip off police about any terror suspects.

The Luton Islamic Centre, where the Stockholm suicide bomber preached refused to take the Government's money as leaders did not want to inform on their ‘Muslim brothers and sisters, saying "If we had taken the money our members would have seen us as working for the Government"

Whatever happened to integration, don't they realise that it is their Government as well, and every reasonable minded person should be working together in the job of fighting Islamic extremists? .

And you are surprised ?
Weirdly the cleric of the mosque that the Stockholm bomber went to threw him out earlier in the year (which apparently is a very serious step to take), because he felt his views weren't in keeping with the tenets of Islam.
And who says that the purpose of money that money was to obtain tip offs?

Oh yes the Daily Mail

Classic example of a Straw Man argument!

Yes but the whole point was he didn't report him to the police.

What would have happened if scores of people had been killed by this bomber, instead of his unworthy self.

That cleric would have been equally guilty of the crime.

No not the Daily Mail, who you accuse, but the Home Office’s Preventing Violent Extremism scheme.

/// Under the Home Office’s Preventing Violent Extremism scheme, Islamic organisations are given money to stop members turning to violence. The groups are urged to reveal the names of those likely to commit violent crimes so they can be put on an ‘at-risk’ list by police.///

Nice try though.
I assume and hope the coalition government has stopped payments like these in future?
I have a friend who is one of the most law abiding people I have ever met. Because he obeys every law he imagines everyone one else will do the same . His life is one long disappointment.
He believes the reason there have been no tip offs is because there aren't any suspects.
That is the mentality of the do-gooders and unfortunately their numbers are growing . Prayers rather than punishment for the criminal and at best a little sympathy for the victims .
I assume they must have many Muslims working for MI5 now who can easily infiltrate these mosques so there should be no need to get the information third hand.
