on page 128 of radio times for 11-17 december there is an offer to download a book free. I have never done this before and cannot see what I have to do to get it onto a cd or several. Can anyone tell me in plain english what to do. I have windows xp. quote "your audio book is yours to keep, and only am email address will be needed to claim your download-no billing details are required to claim this free gift"unquote. I don't want to join - just get the free download - help !!

Registration with Audible. co. uk doesn't require any more information than you submitted to join Answerbank. You only have to provide an email address, together with your own name, username and password. Your 'own' name can actually be completely fictitious if you want and, if you don't want to use your normal email address, you could get another one from...

Registration with Audible.co.uk doesn't require any more information than you submitted to join Answerbank. You only have to provide an email address, together with your own name, username and password. Your 'own' name can actually be completely fictitious if you want and, if you don't want to use your normal email address, you could get another one from Gmail or similar.
Once you've registered you'll be able to download the audio book as an MP3 file. You can then play it directly on your computer or transfer to an MP3 player. If your CD player recognises MP3 files (some do, some don't) you can simply burn the file to a blank CD. Otherwise you might need to split it into several chunks of audio (using a fre program like Audacity) before burning to several audio CDs. (Further instructions upon request).
