Once you know that, it's a simple matter if you have a map or chart that shows, not only latitude/longitude, but also minutes and second divisions of each. If you have such a map, simply find the lat/lon cross references i.e., Paris, France is 48degrees 51' North latitude and 2degrees 20' East longitude. Since it's such a large city, it doesn't give the seconds ("). If you had a specific address for example it might indicate 48degrees 51' 40" North latitude and 2degrees 20' 15" East longitude. The longitude is referenced form the zero longitude line which is Greenwich, England, and of course the zero latitude is the equator. anythin East of the Prime Meridian in Greenwich is East (clever, no?) and anything west is... you guessed it.
You could try www.multimap.com . After you have searched for the address and the map comes up, the lat & lon is displayed at the bottom of the page. If you know exactly in the road where the house (or whatever) is, click on it and the map will re centre and display the new lat & lon.
