Nine Lives
18 Answers
I read a book called Nine Lives a while ago & I am trying to find who wrote it. It's a tale about the 9 lives of a cat through the ages as he lives each different life from Roman times when he comes to Britain with his owner a Roman Centurion & then through his lives right up to the present day.If anyone can help it would be much appreciated.

is it one of these? https://www.amazon.co...ywords=nine+lives+cat
Because the cat had 9 seperate lives he had 9 different names. That was the beauty of this particular piece of fiction, because every new life he was the same spirit in a different cat living a new life until the 9th life he attained nirvana. You'd love it,I think we lent it to someone ages ago & unfortunately we've forgotten who. If it turns up I'll let you know. Ron.
Are you sure about the title, Ron? It sounds remarkably like this:

Ron:
Some books are published with different covers (and even, occasionally, with a change in the title). If you read the review on Wolf63's link it suggests that it might actually be the correct book (but just with a different cover).
Alternatively, was it this?

Hi Chris, sorry to be a pain your help is greatly appreciated, however your ref to Alibris does not give me the opportunity to see a synopsis of storyline & without that I am fishing in the dark (as you are aware there are so many books with the title Nine Lives) When I open the link to British Library which would appear to be my best option I am faced with the question what is your library card number ? & as I have never visited the site before I cannot move on as there does not appear to be an option to join, aghhhh. Ron.

PS: Alibris has three copies of that book I mentioned above. You might like to contact the sellers to get more information. Start here:

Then (for each seller) click on 'Show details' and then 'See more details about this copy'. You can then click on 'Contact the seller' to access an email form.
