sometimes the tube thingy that the conditioner should flow down gets plugged. Take the drawer apart and wash the components or run an empty machine on the hottest longest cycle you have with 2 dishwasher tablets in it might work instead.

Yes woof have cleaned out the drawer compartment it did'nt make any difference but will give the dishwasher tabs a go thanks
The pipe is blocked up with dried up conditioner somewhere down the route from the tray to the drum.
Is there a way to unblock it builder? We have the same problem.

I had this problem with my old machine also, i am beginning to think putting conditioner in is more trouble than its worth
Simple .... unplug the machine from the mains ...
Remove the detergent tray ...
Remove the top cover of the machine, and then remove the pipe below the tray...
Unclip it from the drum ... and then scrub it out using an old toothbrush and detergent with hot water.
Re-fit and secure screws..!

cheers ala
Thanks alavahalf, I will try that tomorrow.
Being a husband, I'm not too well up on washing powders/materials but, once you've got the washer cleaned and working properly, would it be worth while suggesting that you try a different conditioner?????
My washing machine engineer told me that this is caused by shaking the bottle thus making the conditioner thicken. ??
Now you tell me, I shook mine today :-(

...although it doesn't seem like a plausible reason. Surely the bit at the end of the bottle would be like pouring cement if you didn't shake it?
I stopped shaking it and had no more problems.
It's just automatic to shake the bottle isn't it?

I never shake the bottly and I tend to use whichever conditioner is on offer so dont tend to use the same one
My machine has done this from the first time I used it - there can't have been any conditioner blocking it when it was brand new!
It wouldn't be a Whirlpool machine by any chance?
possibly a drain pump needed - if so not expensive.

No MM, I think it's beko
Try using a powder/liquid containing conditioner, & add a couple of tablespoons of washing soda to each wash too as this helps soften the water & keeps the pipes fresh.
