Blackberry Curve 8250 -App error 523

Any suggestions? I have downloaded the software but it won't load onto he handset, tried the "safe mode" bit, but the error still occurs. Can't get far enough to "restore factory settings", Can't get far enough to "security wipe" the things, dead end everywhere!
