Hi - I've just got an external HD docking bay, and it's working well on USB,( thanks to Mr Chuckfickens.)

It has an eSATA socket, and came with the cable, but my computer doesn't have an eSATA socket.

I've seen a PCI card for a tenner on eBay.

1 Is it a lot faster, worth installing?

2 Would I have to reconnect existing cables etc inside the computer?

I'm running windows 7 64 bit.

Any comments / instructions would be welcome ....

It will be faster, is easy to install if you have a spare PCI slot, and will free up USB resources and help to prevent USB problems (which are pretty commonplace)
Go for it.
Get one with VIA chipset if you can.
