Is it one where you have to have the correct software? Basically, did you get a disk with the camera that you haven't uploaded?

Hi Mollykins Yes I downloaded the disc again but no luck
Have you deleted the programme for the old camera, which may somehow be on a default setting which doesn't give the samsung chane to open.
I used to have problems with my PC recognising my cameras – I gave up and purchased a USB card-reader from the £ shop (problem solved).
You should be able to access and download from camera with Windows Explorer.
^ That's not right tho ... If Windows does not natively recognise camera (which is pretty often) you need drivers to do anything.
Look in Add/Remove for Pentax software .. like 'Pentax USB Disc Device" and remove it.
After removing Pentax driver, open Device Manager/View and 'check 'Show Hidden Devices', and scroll to look for Pentax camera in Imaging Devices and remove (R Click/Uninstall) also in the Disc Drives list.
Then look for and/or download the Samsung USB driver, and reinstall. That is all you should need to do. Then it should be recognised.
