Hi
Please can someone help as I really don't understand how Paypal works for on-line shopping
I have purchased an item from Cex Tuesday 28/12 using my paypal account and my Paypal status is still showing as pending. I do have a debit card linked to my paypal account and this is linked to my bank account, but I have no funds in my Paypal Account. Does this matter if I have a debit card linked & verified? My Cex Open Order status has no details showing on it for my order & I am really confused
Please can someone enlighten me?
Thanks

I buy and sell a lot on Ebay and applied for a PayPal Credit Card. I sue it and let the proceeds from sales build up in the PayPal account and then pay off the credit card when due.
Secondly, I'm in the U.S. so I don't know what Cex is. But, often (at least here in the U.S.) a hold is placed on any online purchase until a verification from the Debit Card that after the funds were demanded by the seller and were actually transfered by your bank. In fact, many businesses where the end total bill isn't sertain (such as rental cars or online reservations at hotels) won't use a debit card for the guarantee. Rather, they want a credit card for the guarantee but will allow you to pay the final bill with your debit card in person...

The PayPal Credit card is no different to any other credit card - issued by GE Capital Bank.
It's fine to use your debit card.
Cex is just a company name.
My assumption is that Cex has not yet claimed the money - maybe they are closed over the Christmas period.
Phone Cex tomorrow to be sure.
Don't forget Monday was a bank holiday.
