Remembering log on details

I have just recently purchased an almost new but second hand laptop which works great
and is just what I need but upon loading it with the stuff I wanted I downloaded the home page of my ISP (virgin media) who is also my email provider, upon logging in for the first time a box popped up asking "do you want the computer to remember your log on details"
to which I stupidly clicked on NO but of course now every time I log on I have to go though
entering all the details again, I am running Windows XP so how can I now get it to remember my details? I am sure that there must be a way.

sorry society, I shold have said I am using IE 8, does that help?
