Difficult if you like celebrating New Year Tigger - but not so bad if you just treat it as a normal night and go to bed. Happy New year to you whatever you decide to do - and in the immortal words of Scarlet O'Hara - tomorrow is another day. x
We will keep you company tigger. Me and Mrs MM we don't celebrate New Year or any other holiday. We usually go to bed about midnight. On New years eve we will make an exception and go about 10.30. We are not BAH HUMBUG, Just still trying to cope with 2 year old grief. We don't begrudge anyone else though. Life is for living.
Me too, mamya. So to everyone who is alone - hope the new year is better than the old one, because surely it could not be much worse. I'm not always an old grouch, just sometimes.
I'll probably be at home with my OH, he hates New Years Eve!.......no idea why!...grumpy old g*t, and so I'll watch TV and he'll watch TV in a different room, different channel!.......Happy Days!..............
I've never liked New Year celebrations - all that forced joviality, gets on my wick! Will be up at midnight but will ignore it - will say happy new year to my husband and when I check the kids are all okay and give them each a kiss.
Best way sher!..........who wants to be kissing folk you don't even like the rest of the year!.......that's why, although I like NYE with friends at home, I don't go out and mix with whoever is around! (sorely tempted some years!..my OH is such a misery that night!) so will stay in with the TV again!..........lol..........
We haven't been out on NYE for years we normally just spend it in the company of Max, Mr Morangie and a couple of bottles of wine. Mind you we always walk up to the local club for the dinner time session and its usually an brilliant session, much better then NYE
We tend to do very much the same paddywak, we go out and meet friends in the afternoon for a few drinks, and then go home, before the revellers arrive, much more fun!...
i'm not working for a a change so that will be wierd but i still can;t decide what to do, i'm thinking maybe go out in the afternnoon but stay at home on the night
