Ink-greedy printer
I have a Epson D92 printer which was cheap and prints well, but consumes lots of expensive cartridges. Kodak are currently running an ad. campaign saying that their printers are the most economical re. ink. Is this true, are they good quality, or does anyone know of a better replacement ? Thanks.

I am thinking of getting a laser printer for that reason naz, although the printers are a bit more expensive they dont dry up.
I used a continuous inking system for a long while, it was very effective, I bought bottles of ink from computer fairs for a fiver a go, 20 quid for the four, they used to last for ages and ages. I rarely print now which is why Im considering a laser

The following website http://www.cartridgep...epson-stylus-d92.html
seems to have some some bundle offers on Epson D92 non-Epson cartridges that seem to work at a very reasonbale price each.

Scotman, Non Epson cartridges work OK in a D92, but buying them locally here in Germany is still rather costly. However, using the above links - thanks guys - I have ordered 3 x four pack sets from Moreinks via Amazon for only £11.99 , (£16 with postage to me here). I hour after ordering I received an email to say they had been dispatched ! If you want only black they do an 8 pack for £8.99. I'll put the idea of a new printer on the back-burner for the moment.
For people that don't use the printer very often ( which causes it to dry out ) I would suggest printing four single lines of CAPITAL text (one line for each colour, magenta, yellow, cyan and black) every two weeks.
This keeps the ink in each cartridge flowing OK, gives you the opportunity to check that the individual print heads are not blocked and also uses far less ink than a cleaning cycle.
