Name of a toy

Trying to find out the name of a toy. It's a set of 2D, brightly coloured plastic hexagons with slots on each side (so that you can fit them together). Thanks for any help.

These ones are used in schools a lot; more than just hexagons but the brand name is Polyconstructo. Pretty sure I've heard them called something else but can't remember what it was!

cheers sophie - no, that wasn't them - they were pretty much like the octons but shinier and see through - I could be wrong with the name beginning with S - last time I saw them I was about 3 and that was over 40 years ago! The play group I went to had those and stickle bricks - I was in heaven! Maybe I shouldn't wonder why my kids are obsessed with lego now!
