can i claim maintenance for my son if i move abroad

I am divorced from my sons father, he pays monthly maintenance. We are moving abroad next year, can i still expect my ex to continue with the payments.

if you are disabled the government gives you benefits. same if you are on a low income. maintenance is demanded to save the government money as most single parents would not be able to support themselves sufficiently. it is not instead of benefits. it is a form of benefit itself. moving abroad will stop your benefits as it is no longer the governments problem. unless of course you ex wants to send you the money personally
