Artex falling off!!!

Hope someone can help!

About 17 years ago we had all the ceilings in our house artexed. Now the bathroom ceiling (and only the bathroom ceiling) artex is starting to flake off over the shower and also over the window. I rubbed away the flaking but it keeps on flaking away. Any ideas? Do I need to get an artexer in to completely scrape the artex off the ceiling and start again?

You can do it yourself, you need a steam wallpaper stripper and an aerater, thats similar to a paint roller, only larger, with spikes, you can hire them from a diy shop that rents out, roll the aerater over the artex, then use the stripper, the steam enters through the holes and loosens the artex from the back, it'll then come off using a hand paint stripper.
